Among the disorders covered by this report are arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, meniscal and ligament/tendon injuries, muscular dystrophy, and osteoporosis. Among the covered surgical procedures are carpal tunnel release, fracture repair of the femur and tibia/fibula, spine surgery, total knee replacement, total hip replacement, and total shoulder replacement.

Procedure volumes forecasts are for the years 2010-2016, with aggregate figures for the EU countries of France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the U.K. as well as for Germany alone. Disease incidence and prevalence figures are for the year 2010.
